Yes, it is a bit unusual. But very positive, I think. The company gets asked if it has any explanation of which the market is unaware for a strong rise in share price. The usual answer is "No" and it is delivered very quickly. VML goes into a trading halt for days to respond. That suggests to me the answer must "Yes", ie that there is something positive in the offing that is not yet sufficiently firmed up to announce.
