Absolutely correct. If there wasn't anything found that's worth mining then a cap raise would be opportunistic, based on the speculation. But if there is a decent find and since FMG is providing funding, then it would only make sense to raise once the size of the find was known and the share price reflected the value of the partnership.
The trading halt makes no mention of funding. For sure the announcement is about releasing information regarding the drilling at Vulcan. But I guess people can post whatever baseless rumors they want.
