That's right.
If it is a big find, the company can't simply put out strong gas shows and let other parties who may be privy to the find (insiders), accumulate shares on market whilst trading is open.
The market needs to be fully informed. And it needs to be fully informed of material news that affects the share price.
Dempsey announcements from memory, didn't require a trading halt other than for a cap raising.
So this could be huge.
