Cause thats not how a Trading halts work. A halt / pause or suspension is for when a company has material information that is incomplete or under preperation that could be positive or negative impact to the trading of a entity. If the information is known and complete it has to be reported to the market this is part of the continuous disclosure requirements for the company which is legally binding.
These mechanisms are in place to try and ensure free and equitable markets where all participants have the same information when buying and selling.
Although i am not saying these rules are followed to the letted of the law on the ASX.
