@mm00712345 yep its a depends one as in depends who you ask. So long as the company maintains adequate liquidity (enough shares to trade easily and not too tightly held), my personal view is that its a positive because although nothing really changes fundamentally (same market cap), the stock is no longer viewed as a "penny stock" (low price shares can appear speculative even if they are a solid company) and can therefore be more appealing. In companies I have been involved with who do share consolidations, some holders have a different view, but I don't think its a big issue either way.
