just a quick point of interest in your calculations - people who go to aldi for liquor aren't connoisseurs, nor are they likely to be after a $15/20 bottle of wine. Aldi trade on the premise of convenience, and price. a shopper looking for a $20 bottle of wine is not likely to go to aldi, that shopper will got to dan murphy/first choice. an aldi shopper will be looking $10 and under for wine. anyone spending more than that will likely be an incidental purchaser, with little wine knowledge, and have little chance of repeat custom. i would suggest an average bottle price at aldi to be around the $5 to $10 price.

I looked at the Special Buys site and the bottles of wine are about $10 per bottle, spirits are about $35 & beer is about $15 for 6 pack cans is equivalent to three bottles.. https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-liquor/
