A MOU doesnt just convert into a binding agreement overnight. Or a weekend. Or a few weeks too. Sometimes they arent even worth the paper they're printed on as everyone has a MoU that never delivers. In this case I'm sure it will but I'd be confident it has nothing to do with cementing the ebay MOU over the course of one weekend.
