Don't agree ,It most definitely needed to go into a trading halt so your best course of action is to take it up with the ASX
These are some reasons why a TH was needed
1. There was cost involved with the data
2. If you have any idea on basic data and research you will see there is a potential for the resource to be larger with seismic data showing the Kipper field is underlying on Emps tenement
3. The data which is extensive will strengthen the prospects
