The local folk have always been treated reasonably fairly by the Danes but as education levels and quality of life grew they have built up a real resentment for being told how to do things. GGG could really suffer out of pure stubbornness than anything else.
Greenland has China wanting to throw money at them to get the shipping routes and fishing access, plus the future mining potential, this is causing other bigger powers to want to throw money at them as well to stave off the Chinese 'economic takeover'.
So whats the incentive to have someone build a mine there when a large percentage of your voters don't want it or need its tax revenue.
