I wonder how prescient that statement is given that the K1 report also preempted the cap raise, granted they would have had impressive access to NY in order to achieve that write up but IMHO this is as close to sign posting possible confidential discussions however prospective they may be to ordinary share holders as possible.
This all still speculation but from where I stand the K1 report indicates that EXR may not have the chance to materialize its full potential prior to a take over offer, hence a capital raise is required to go above and beyond the original 2021 works plan to fast track the de risking process and come into any take over negotiations from a position of greater strength, I was expecting to wait at least another 2.5 to 3 years but todays announcement is making me rethink that time frame to being brought forward admittedly I am unsure of how quickly
