Thanks II and @wombat777, given different views, it sounds like it might depend on terms of TO/Buyout.
Given previously discussed opinions on possible timeframe for TO/Buyout it seems there may be a relatively short window for converting options to get the CGT discount. CGT discount is a bonus but an attractive one for many which plays a role in peoples decision making.
