I'm not sure if it never makes sense to convert early (out of the money) unless you just wanted to fill RAC's bank for some reason.
You would be better off putting that money towards buying shares on market now at a better rate and leave the options there as an extra down the line. When the time comes, you can then workout what's the best way to exercise those options.
