Counterexample: Karora. Mines only in Australia, Headquartered in Canada, listed in USA and Canada, popular with American investors. Lots of capital increases and very successful today. Interesting story. I am not an Australian, but I have the impression that the high price of gold alone has made it possible to bring Australian gold mines believed dead back to life.
