From a fundamental perspective, most Break -away GAPs occur as a result of a major fundamental change within a company ... like Take-overs, partial take-overs, financial funding, major mining strikes, stock splits etc ... that causes instant re-valuation of the current SP.

Now FFX has had two potential F.A. break-away GAPS ... The GOLD deal and now the Lithium component. The Gold deal(late Aug.'20) missed out by 1c being such a GAP_UP but the GAP created held for about 2mths and indeed(within 1c) to become our last major TA low(13c). The Lithium based component has yet to unfold but my speculation is that we will get, at least initially, a break-away GAP or at worst similar to the GOLD GAP ... i.e. a major TA base for SP action prior to the final Company De-Merger taking place.

Then we will have two companies to look for future GAP-UPS!

My point is that it needs to close above 0.50, with strong volume, to be considered a break out. 0.50 is the line of resistance, if they market declares it so, then that would be great. If it doesn't break that line of resistance, then it may well go back to moving between the current trading range (and the gap would then be filled).
