I think the ASX has some rules welds and one of them is all about disclosure which says something along the lines of when a company should not trade if there is information that could or should be released to the market.
Clearly the Phnom Pen Post article indicates that there is information, but obviously the Company was not in a position to release that info at that point in time so they had a trading halt imposed.
The market cannot trade on heresay.
