Mate, I’m a WGO holder too, but your comments are... (I will refrain from saying what I really think)
The reality is I reckon 90+% of the posters here (including me) are back seat drivers.
We wouldn’t have the foggiest idea of how to run an energy company let alone what is involved in the what goes into getting a hole drilled, tested and brought into production (incl planning, analysis, submissions, procurement, reporting, OHS, etc)
So, are we really qualified to hurl criticism when something doesn’t go to plan? do you really think STX (with WGO consultation) are running this show with the intention of just having a crack and making mistakes and wasting money, time and risking reputation damage? I personally don’t think so. Success is never easy and straightforward esp. when doing something relatively new in a somewhat unexplored basin. The drilling depths of WE are not simple stuff and they are learning all the time even if they are making mistakes along the way or encountering unexpected issues. I work in the corp world and I can tell you what appears to be straightforward projects can turn into a shtshow just like that with unexpected things popping up etc, so O&G is no different.
We are all just fanatics who have all got caught up in the hype and dreams of the PB, but when it boils down to it, nearly every single one of us (whether you are a STX or WGO holder) just all want to make money...lots of it.
So how about we realise that we aren’t the experts, they are....and let them do their day jobs and cut out the finger pointing etc. chill people.
