A close look at this shows that it may not be as good for existing shareholders as it could have been. While it appears that shareholders will get a deal of sorts there is one trap. Firstly the issue favours major investors with the majority of the discounted shares and current smaller long term shareholders run the risk of missing out or scaled back.
Those that look at selling today and buying back througt the SPP could find they sell to fund a purchase and miss out on that purchase. A bit of a gamble here. Proceed with caution.
