Reading that, all I could hear in my head was someone arguing 20 years ago that Bezo wouldn’t succeed as he needed to work with the retailers (ie: distributors) and that online shopping wouldn’t work. But look what happened to Maceys and the big US departments stores…..the smart retailers were early adopters of Amazon, their marketplace and their powerful logistics network.
That is why a smart distributor like Bibendum signed up.
Building a powerful marketplace is hard, but Dean has a great vision and proven record to achieve it.
