Speculation
Ok so we have had a TH and the speculation has been rampant... with ideas such as...
- T/O imminent
- Licensing deal
- Funding for current trials CF33 (or others).
- Procurement of more drugs in pipeline.
And of course heaps of other weird/wacky ideas.

What we now know
However putting together the AFR article and the email from LC...we can say with reasonable certainty this...

the CR is to expand the horizon of IMU to enable the business itself (without being dependent on outside BP or others), the ability to take oncology from acquiring IP through Trial PH1 and PH2 all the way through to product manufacturing.

Email from LC is very telling notice she says
"The CR enables Imugene to control our destiny and deliver on its planned Clinical trails and product manufacturing ambitions up to 2025 and beyond"

1. Control our own destiny. Meaning we look after everything from IP through to manufacturing.
2. Up to 2025 and beyond. Long term view.
3. Both clinical trials and manufacturing. All of it.

Conclusion.
Imugene prior to this, was perhaps looking for Partnering/combinations (perhaps this will still happen- who knows) to work with BP and others. Now it seems Imugene set to become a genuine Big pharma itself (the next CSL). Cashed up for the next five years. This does not sound like a company ready for a T/O but sounds like a behemoth in the making.
