"Australian Mines (AUZ) is set to begin building a precursor cathode active material (P-CAM) production plant for its flagship Sconi project in Queensland battery materials company says it has completed the design phase for the plant, with construction to begin later this month P-CAM plant will be integrated into AUZ's existing high-pressure acid leach (HPAL) demonstration plant in PerthAustralian Mines, plans to produce battery-grade nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) P-CAM product entirely from Sconi ore at the plant necessary parts and equipment have either arrive at the demonstration plant in Perth or are en route, with first NCM production slated for August. Today's news comes just one day after Australian Mines revealed the results of a scoping study for the Sconi project that found P-CAM production would be costly but could come with high rewards".
