I work for ASX 200 company, though not a director level but I am senior enough to get shares.

We have rules ie cannot trade shares from X date to Y date embargo period, as long as it is outside the embargo dates, I fill out the form within x days and send it to HR, than that is it.

Therefore I would find it extraordinary that a Director personally sends the cleansing notice to ASX

A director would fill out a form of shares trades and emails it relevent managers, than this form will move via email to different administrative layers until it is sent out to ASX.

In any part of this chain bad luck can strike and the email could go into a blackhole.

A person got sick, or had email outage, or laptop issue etc etc."
