Danu i hear you, however we simply don't have all the facts so it cant be said that this is indeed all there is to the story.
And again this is how this always goes down, shot first ask questions later, its simply poor form to assume that we the public, have all the info yet as always, we want death by a thousand cuts before the truth boils to the surface.
The approach i apply here, i ask the employee to tell me what went wrong, I'm constantly amazed at the number of times its simply an unavoidable situation usually due to something like, as previously stated, an absenteeism etc.
Lets wait for the facts, if we even get them. Could be seriously poor behaviour and should be addressed/managed accordingly, could be that the correct process was followed and a black swan event caused it to fail.
