As usual, when there's lots of speculation and panic afoot, I headed for the golf course. Should have stayed at home and engaged with the thread as it turns out. Always next week. Anyway, while wandering about looking for my ball, i was thinking about what I'd do if I was Paul.

So here goes....
I've received a "go ahead" from FDA (maybe with a couple of conditions) after so many years of work. I've been belted by lots of people who are questioning Chair role and some of my actions and occasional gaff over the past six months. It's Friday at the ASX. Maybe I'd just send the letter to the consultants for completeness and due process, do a Halt to make sure I comply with ASX rules and take the weekend to get my announcement really clear and the way I want it. It's a big step. Phase III company now. I'd want a complete package that says we are "go" and we are a serious player lead by a brilliant and capable Chair and CEO that plays to more institutional investors and potential partners, but also gives the finger to retailers who criticised about the last CR (remember at the AGM "you'd better put your money up next time"!) and gave us a first strike at the AGM. I'd get the wording and nuancing just right, while I was drinking that fine bottle of red over the weekend and watching the rest sweat. That's what I'd do.

And Violin1, as one of those pesky retailers, wouldn't begrudge him the weekend to do it.
