Unfortunately the answer is to look after the people that look after them and their mates I.e. sophisticated and institutional investors.
This doesn’t mean good or bad results. Companies will often do CRs before releasing good results so their friends can buy cheap and sell into the SP rise on positive announcements.
The positive is, we should still have had some cash left so weren’t being bent over the barrel.
Terms will therefore hopefully be favourable.
