It's yet to be confirmed, but it seems the retail offer will be very short term options to holders on something like a one for ten basis. On exercise, the options will generate additional longer term options on a one to one basis.
The record date is expected to be far enough into the future for you to acquire shares should you so choose.
My current intention is to exercise all my 3.5c options to maximise my participation.
