But hey, logic be damned: it's more exciting to think of 'leaky boats' and 'a group' (i.e. a bunch of dorks) operating an unsophisticated on-line 'pump group' who apparently have unlimited funds to manipulate stocks in whatever direction they choose.
How dumb would you have to be to operate an on-line 'pump group' where the authorities can access an electronic record of your pitiful attempts to manipulate a stock. These ain't rocket scientists.
Fact: whenever there is a FOMO run people will start bandying the terms 'leaky boat' or 'smoke signals' about just to throw a bit more fuel on the fire.
