Why wouldn't VMY do a trading halt for major news like this is my question..
You have approvals that were critical for the mine project to not hit a brick wall. Following this huge news, Mulga Rock is likely going to be Australia's next uranium mine built. You don't want to release this news into 2 straight weeks of red. You release the news on a Thursday knowing by Monday morning its a new week, sentiment has a good chance of turning and the spot price has another couple of trading days to rebound. Releasing the news this week into large pullback would be a garbage strategy.
