Scoony corrected the previous assumptions and used 4 sentences in his post to confirm "What was reported (and repeated) was false".

He and @aggexpenditure need no assistance and both performed proper research.

I'm going to make an assumption here (yes, calling it an assumption, not based on facts), but these posters may have arrived on the inclination of MC to settle the matter, so are unlikely to need 'schooling'.
