Positive - when it takes longer then expected:

everything works well ( technical update) and something pops out of the blue like 4ds were presenting resolvable issue and all off the sudden wdc wants to seal the deal.
it will take some time realistically to work out the deal paperwork incorporating technical announcement and selling product.

on contrary Negative - something gone down under ( technical product results) and shit hits the fan means wdc pulled out of deal and now 4ds left abandon scrambling for someone else to take over.

I m with former rather then later as its very easy to spit out negative sentiment and knowingly this will be a dead horse if later seems to happen, news could have been out by now.
