I don't blame the company for raising at the highest price they can, but it's not as if Macquarie is either a new or obscure stock. I just think that anyone participating here has done so at the prompting of Macquarie not at their own behest, and at a higher price than at any other time in the company's 25 year history. Presumably it's for existing holders only, and ones who want to average up their holding price.
