The way I see it:
- They received response over the weekend and they are committed to continuing to have consultants run their eye over it (because if they don't, and misinterpret something without a second opinion, they will get absolutely flogged).
- The consultants aren't officially at work till this evening (it's Sunday evening in the US)

Therefore, they can't release info as yet, and must ask for a halt. They also can't guarantee the consultants will have a response till tomorrow AM at the earliest. So, they are being conservative (again, lest they get flogged), and asking for a halt till earliest of when they can release or Wed morning.

This implies nothing either way about the nature of the response they've received.
