From my experience, when lics expand via SPP, they are really only increasing their allocations to their existing plan, and there should not be any real dilution. My expereince has been with ARG who have SPP most years, WAM who have has a couple now and then. Both these LICs the SPP was well supported and positive for the share price. With ARG, growing the market cap allowed them to reduce the fees charged which nows sits at 0.14%. I am looking at it and will most likely be part of the SPP. From memory I think PL8 did do a SPP a few years ago as well and it worked well.
