Interesting figures being thrown around.
What about this possibility.
Say ASM ops for reduced plant size. In the 2018 study, costs were around 800m for this. Lets assume this has increased to 1000m.
Now if the joint venture goes ahead, the syndicate will pay ASM 250m US for a 20% share, say roughly 350m AUS.
So if its an 80:20 joint venture, and the cost is 1000m, then ASM needs to come up with its 800m share.
They have 350 in the pocket from its 20% sale, that leaves 450m needed to be funded.
Then there is the 200m from the Gov strategic fund, that now leaves 250m funding required.
That leaves the question of how difficult it is to raise 250m.
Whilst hypothetical, the figures required to be borrowed may me not as far out of reach as some may think
