Yep thats what happened. Management knew the votes well before the meeting, got a chip on their shoulder about it and thought bugger the retail crowd if they arent going to vote for us then we will concentrate on the underwriter/broker/funds crowd. Thats why they were so blase at the AGM. They decided to give Canaccord etc, the inside running on the next CR which would give them a better register which is more likley to vote in their favour in the future. Remembering the votes were pretty tight on quite a few resolutions so 10% extra to "on-side holders" will make a difference. I understand the strategy and it makes total sense from all prespectives except us retail. As PA rightly pointed out Canaccord (and VMS management) probably prefer that retail dont take up the SPP so that they can take up more themselves.

...... however you/I have to think - although I'm peeved at management not caring about me, am I being blinded by this and not seeing an opportunitry to ride on the big boys coat-tails here? Thats what I'm currently asking myself.
