Well @caredes, That was an unexpected announcement. Who would have guessed they have involved the Chinese?
Taking the announcement literally, it looks like the activity at the Chinese company has already included buckets of investment and has completed the whole process of qualifying the MEMS speaker in the Chinese fab. That must be the case if they will be ready in Q1 2022 to mass produce huge volumes. I struggle to reconcile this situation with the ASX requirement for continuous disclosure when the whole thing must have been on foot for months.
Also, some concerns may arise about the company's IP being in foreign hands. Has the wolf been allowed into the hen house?
It remains to be seen how it will all pan out, but I'm not confident enough to re-invest in AKP on the basis disclosed thus far.
