new generation prefer ETFs, all the young people I know, they ETFs now they don't bother with picking stock any more and they been doing reasonably well they just picked a mixed bag of international and Aussies ETFs drop in a few K every so often regardless of the market condition
I myself has around 30% of my money in ETFs as well and doing well without much hassle
