I worked on Buffalo-1 in the late 1990's, so there is some nostalgia element in this upcoming announcement. Having worked in the oilfield for my entire career, I am naturally an optimistic, so initial thoughts are that this will be positive news, but it could well be that CVN put the TH in place as they were just starting to drill the mother load.
Notwithstanding this result, I decided to "back up the truck" on CVN a month ago. They have upcoming multiple top drilling prospects, a development all with the backdrop of a barnstorming oil price in 2022.
