Halo Food planned to use the funds raised to acquire 12-year-old healthy eating and weight loss program The Healthy Mummy, according to the term sheet sent to potential investors.
My initial thought is that I'm not so sure if this is a wise acquisition or not. Perhaps I'm put off by the name and my initial pre-conceived ideas on this. I'm going to deep dive into this company to see if there is material value here or not. Some high-level stats below:
- "The Healthy Mummy (www.healthymummy.com) offers healthy eating & exercise products & plans plus extensive support for mums at every stage of her life."
- "The Healthy Mummy range includes our 5 star rated APP and an extensive range such as Skin, Kids, Supplements, Recipe Books, Protein, Meals To You and now Healthy Man"
- 609,658 people like their page on Facebook (significant)
- 187,000 followers on Instagram
- 47 employees on LinkedIn
- "Has become the biggest mums only health weight loss site worldwide"
Keen to understand their revenue model, whether they are profitable and at what level.
