Fascinating informative discussion thats helped put GNX on my "avoid list". Undoubtedly GNX is building a suite of assets that have long term value to the community but current shareholders ??? Once the buildout is complete (in 5 yrs+ ) then it may turn into a dividend paying stock ... for the next owner ... a Canadian Super Fund perhaps .... but why hold a stock, that's using generic technology for 5yrs in the hope it will come good. Institutions can have a much longer time frame than individual investors, and because they are required to manage large portfolio's, they like solid assets that produce a reliable return over decades .... I'll be dead buried and forgotten in decades. If one wants to invest in the likes of GNX then perhaps a fund would be a good choice ?

Yes with so much developed or well on the way it could be a good fit for Mike CB/Brookfield (except that most of Genex assets are in QLD while the AGL coal fired power stations that are to be replaced are in NSW).
