Just thinking out loud here with lots of assumptions (Do your own research), it could be that the management is currently looking at a few "once in a lifetime opportunities" and they need more cash to seize them all soon rather than focusing on one mineral and miss out on the other. We have lithium and graphite in high demand and good lab results for the drillings, so it makes sense to fight on both fronts and ride the wave early.
