After their recent roadshow, it would not be surprising if some big funds wanted to join the registry.
It's prudent of the board to capitlise on the recent SP appreication, especially with such a low SOI.
You also have to factor in the recent Manna Project aquisition. I'm now expecting an aggressive drill campaign to follow.
It's also possible they have identified an acquistion target too. Having a $40m warchest is quite a hefty sum.
