I really is beyond belief how far the nutty Greens would take us - thankfully they won't have a chance; I just wonder if they can see beyond their nose. Have to agree a good Labor majority could bring some sanity to the situation just as long as the Labor left is isolated their pretty well as nutty as the Greens & hopefully will get out of the party. Labor is the only party serious about climate change all we need is a carbon tax (or emissions trading) back and scrap these crazy "offsets". To me it's madness that someone goes off to build a wind farm (thus saving CO2) and then sells hose "offsets" to the likes of Woodside who then create "blue" hydrogen (emissions free - proposed for Kwinana in Perth) using steam reforming (Haver Bosch process) which creates CO2 which it puts back in the atmosphere (i.e no net gain). Equally for "biomass" whereby you plant trees which extract CO2 from the atmosphere and then you burn them (also no net gain) but also a lot of particulate matter also thrown into the atmosphere which kills people - madness. Can someone tell me what difference there is between biomass and fossil fuels apart from the time difference between the sequester of CO2 and the release of CO2?
