What' complicated about mining Uranium? The plant will be likely be contracted via an EPC arrangement to an experienced global design firm which will already be based in Western Australia given how resource rich the state is (i.e. your Bechtels or KBR's of the world). Deep Yellows approach wouldn't have been any different given they are an exploration and operations company, not a designer or contractor. The construction of the Mulga mine process and duration would likely be completely the same regardless of whether Deep Yellow or Vimy did it.

Operations wise, maintenance and shutdowns will most likely be contracted to the OEM, and given the capital constraints the bulk of the physical mineral extraction would likely be done by a specialist mining contractor i.e. Maca/ NRW. Sure Vimy guys would be sitting in the control room but it's not like JB would be training up these guys either. All Vimy need to deliver the job themselves would be a good Operations Manager, a good construction manager and a good design manager. Uranium mining isn't materially harder than any other mining activity in the very experienced state of WA.

Deep Yellow will do well to get an Australian resource or two. Supply chain security is obviously a hot topic. There's plenty of speculation regarding what the merger offer ratio will be on this thread. Disappointing to see that no one was bothered to crunch the numbers for anymore than maybe 3 seconds to come up with what we could expect. Judging from this post everything from 1.5 - 3.7 has be thrown out there. In short, Vimy has outperformed DY these last 6 months. They have commenced Mulga construction, completed a material cap raise, drafted a drilling plan for alligator river and SP improvement has almost doubled DY's over the same period.

Reading the VMY message board has reminded me why I log into HC for a couple of weeks every decade. People invest in companies and industries they clearly don't understand and post absolute uninformed garbage.

Good luck fellow investors and punters alike.
