The additional, un announced and successful non platform lot was their get out of jail for the failed 3rd Platform lot
if the short loop is a fail, I think they'd definitely be able to put positive spin into the announcement with bettered testing results using the new equipment.
i don't think it could be a total disaster of an announcement if you were considering a worse case scenario.
