If short loop has resolved integration issue then we have a clear path to Megabit chip. This is the last hurdle.

Ken would have signed an NDA during discussions with Wilbert and therefore we can be confident that Ken is aware of the intimate state of play at 4DS, warts and all.
Why would he sign on to something with an immediate 3 month short loop extension needed...? Possible of course - ultimately short term.
Why would he announce it all over LinkedIn like someone pointed out above, to only be hamstrung weeks later?

I think you could be on to something - at least I bloody hope so, it's so cold and damp down here.
