The reason why I would never invest in AVZ or any other western company like AVZ that has projects in a country or region with a history of invasion and or occupying from a now NATO country in the past, is because many people in those parts of the world do not trust countries like NATO or countries that support NATO'S actions.
I have always believed that the actions of countries like the USA Australia and NATO countries that represent less than 15% of the worlds population would push the rest of the world into protecting there own.
The actions of the lesser percentage of the worlds population to cancel out Russia and anyone else who apposes there rule, will only push countries mistrust to the point of protecting and securing there minerals from those who side with the controllers of the other 85% of the worlds population.
It is the lower income countries that are suffering the most from sanctions, yet the rich countries continue with there practices.
Investing is not only about the project, it is also about the country and how people feel and think about the rest of the world, and there needs.
People may think this is all off topic, but is it really.
I think that the sanctions against Russia that is causing great poverty and starvation around the world, is resulting in a potential issue for all mining companies from people who may think that the 15% of the world is there to take there valuable resources, that they may see as there only way out of there problems caused by the sanctions.
I have felt this way about the worlds situation for almost 10 years, and I suspect that AVZ may be seen by many common people as only being there to take what they have with little reward going back to there communities, and the current situation in the world may have only made them feelings stronger.

Have you read anything whatsoever about what the DRC has been doing over the last 2 years to bring foreign investment into the country, in particular strengthening western relations? Or weeding out corrupt practices? Rhetorical questions.

They literally want foreign investment in order to capitalise on the battery market. DRC/Zambia intend to have the entire battery value chain in-country and are advertising to the world that it’s far cheaper to process minerals in their countries.

In regards to the ‘common people’ the locals are eager for AVZ to get started as evidenced in recent news reports, as the project will help lift the town up from borderline poverty levels.

It’s astonishing the extent and effort that people go to express their ignorance.
