That's only looking at one single part of it..
The big run up IMO was mainly due to vanadium price rising to multi year highs and the announcement of the grant..

As one poster already here pointed out,and evident on the grant thread, a LOT of people just assumed 49mil was going into the bank, so 'get on board'..
At the high point of over 10c, the BFS had been MIA for several months and zero news of it, which is worrying more than a reason for the whole market to be jumping on AVL in anticipation for them knocking it out of the park.

Then why the price came down also has multiple reasons.
- SP was overbought for starters and soon as the ran stop, a LOT of holders, new and old wanted to take profit.
- BFS was released, and yes, numbers were less than stellar.
- Maybe some of the people who bought started actually doing due dilligence regarding the grant (it is conditional/milestone based, so will not contribute anytime soon to working capital), how far away EPA approval may be, etc etc etc and saw the run up may not come again = more selling.
- And of course the market worldwide taking a massive crap and even fantastic profitable stocks have taken a steady dive...


MAJOR oversimplification, and I actually think off the mark more than on it to say the price action was 'the run up to DFS release and then the comedown when it didn't live up to expectations'.


Anyway onto the subject, Bermuda said it best, cornerstone investor coming on board will be a big tick,, but if it's 180 raising at 50c or below, questions should be asked of Vince.

I actually thought all the option conversions would give them some runway to at the very least ride out the worldwide market downturn,,, but no one can predict where prices will go, marketwide or for AVL, so maybe they just need to get it over and done with while the price is still strong compared to the average excluding the last few Months..
