Off topic and while we await the incoming news check out the Department of Justice US media release about Glencore settling bribery and manipulation scheme allegations over the course of 10+ years ( god knows how much they profited from this) throughout multiple countries paying $1b to settle. Of note I took from this the comment that the manipulation undermined the publics confidence in financial markets. I hope Aisic read this release and understand this is the exact effect that algo/ bot trading has on our markets and retail investors also lose confidence to invest in a stock that is continuously under control of algo trading. So their notion that it creates liquidity is b/s because of the lost liquidity of retail steering clear, shorts included in this can of worms.
