Well the argument is they were trying to soften the blow of the latest trading update (otherwise why on earth include it in the same announcement). Anyway we’ll know tomorrow or Monday.
My gut tells me because the “developments” came so fast after the announcement, the offer has been pulled - there has been no time for Telus to do DD and thus bid up the offer. If that’s correct, APX will drop straight back down (possibly lower) and that just puts any acquirer in an even better position.
