If you were a competitor of Pfizer's and have even just the slightest interest in the tech surely you would want to throw your hat in the ring at the next available opportunity. Even if its just to make Pfizer pay top dollar or there abouts....?

Probably one of the reasons why they have gone through this process, is it not? (to stop a bidding war)...

The initial payment by Pfizer appears to be quite a savy investment on their part. $3m to lock out the competition and keep a lid on the share price might save them big bucks in the long run.

Happy to stand corrected by someone more knowledgeable in the space.

Either way I ain't selling!
